Původně uvedena na trh v roce 2002, dědictví teniska University Blue (2024) Jordan 17 Retro Low SP má barevné kombinace University Blue, bílou, chromovou a černou. Napodobující světlý odstín Carolina Blue, University Blue pokrývá TPU klec na mezipodešvi a Dynamic Fit rukáv. Tento vnitřní rukáv podporuje nohu a zajišťuje stabilní fit. Pro přidání stability design obsahuje celoplošnou desku. Nakonec jednotka Zoom Air v přední části a Air odpružení v patě chrání proti nárazům a vytvářejí pružný pocit.
